The James W. McKinnon Music Iconography Slide Collection consists of over 2,380 slide reproductions of iconographic sources related to music. The collection was established by former UB music department chair James W. McKinnon, and has been developed and maintained by the UB Music Library. The core of the collection was generated through McKinnon's research, which identified source materials for the analysis and interpretation of musical subject matter in works of art.

The Pan-American Exposition was held in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1901.
